That was simply the thread subject. What I am talking about here (i.e., packaging the installer in a way that is accepted by Windows and Mac OS X) is known as "digital signatures" (done with a digital certificate; we already sign our installers, but with other methods) and indeed it has nothing to do with activation codes, and we will never use the latter terminology,
