Been a while since I've used Windoz so this is from memory. Click on icon on 
bottom left of screen, move pointer up to "Choose program" or "Start program" 
and click, a list of available programs should show up, scroll through list 
until Apache Open Office shows up, click it and the Open Office start window 
should open, click on "Writer" and a new document should open.
