Hi,
I am having this problem with AOO and JRE.
I have download both AOO V4.0.1 and V4.1.1
After I open Ver 4.1.1 and I go check the about AOO it show it is 4.0.1
Open Finder and check in the Applications folder to see which version of AOO is
intalled.
Next I can’t detect the JRE. I have delete and reinstall JRE several time but
still unable to work.
My java standard edition is Ver 8 Update 25.
My JRE is Platform 1.8, Product 1.8.0_25 @ location

Java 8 works with Apache OpenOffice. However, you also need to have Java 6 installed. To
download it go to http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
