I keep forgetting I own an Android Device. Amazon.com confirmed that I do own
a compatible device (Kindle Fire). I installed AndrOpen Office. It won’t
start though. If I open the app and then select Text Document, I see a start
OpenOffice splash and then I end up at
"The application cannot be started.
Register Services, configure Ucb"
and not even the "OK" button works.
"Remove from this device" worked just fine.

This community does not provide a version of AOO that runs on Android, no.
However, a port by a third party developer is available for Kindle Fire --
[AndrOpen Office][1]
Additionally, third-party supplier [RollApp][2] offer both Apache
OpenOffice and LibreOffice for Kindle Fire, as a web-hosted application.

Simon
