Hi Richelle,

Our mailing list servers remove most images and attachments, but list
moderators (myself included) do get to see them.

Did you follow the link http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error shown in the error
message. That link provides a lot of detailed information, together with
possible causes and solutions.

I suspect that your issue may have be caused by the installation file
being corrupted during  the download. Try downloading again, without
using any download manager/accelerator programs and then follow the file
checksum verification procedure detailed here:
http://www.openoffice.org/download/checksums.html
If the checksum of your freshly downloaded installation file and the one
linked from the Apache OpenOffice download page:
http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html
are the same the software should install normally.
If not then you may need to try some of the more "aggressive" options
proposed on the NSIS website.
