NeoOffice is an OpenOffice.org fork that is focused exclusively on Max
OS X functionality, compatibility, and integration.

Apache OpenOffice is a descendant of OpenOffice.org, that provides
binaries for several different platforms.

Assuming you are using ODF file formats, then your old invoices will be
readable by Apache OpenOffice.

The big issue is the macros, extensions, and other customizations that
you did with NeoOffice 2.2.3. In theory, the macros and extensions can
be dropped into Apache OpenOffice, and work as expected. In practice,
one usually needs to modify the source code of those macros and
extensions. Customizations usually require extensive modification of the
source code, to be equally functional on the new program.

My suggestion would be to test Apache OpenOffice using _copies_ of old
invoices, creating new, dummy invoices. When testing, look for things
that were awkward, or difficult to do with NeoOffice, and see what
happens with Apache OpenOffice.
