I think my Open Office has become corrupted -

I have used OpenOffice for years with great success..
and recommended it to others ..
I have a year old MacBook Pro - with OS Yosemite 10.10.3

When I went to download another copy of Open Office as I have done in the past,
I got a message that there was no download available for me ..
“Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1 is not available for OS X 32-bit (x86) (DMG)
Solution: Select version 4.0.1 - “

Where do I find Version 4.0.1 download - could you send a link please.
I tried googling for it - found a page, followed a link that said I could
download Version 4.0.1
and it still took me to the 4.1.1 page - so not sure what to do ??

Thanks so much

Go to this page:
                            http://www.openoffice.org/download/
                            (http://www.openoffice.org/download/)
Then below the bold ad for OO4.1.1 release, where a green background shows 3 drop down menus, in the third menu choose 4.0.1, then in the first menu click on the down arrow and select OS X 32-bit (x86) (DMG), in the second menu should be your language default for the download. Once downloaded you can install that version. Once you have dealt with your old files you should save them in a more modern format and then update your Open Office version using the same link but this time choosing OS X 64-bit (x86-64) (DMG) [the x86 part refers to 32-bit, in other words this version works in both both 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
