Install free version of Revo Uninstaller from here http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html 1.1 Use it to uninstall OpenOffice 2. Install free version of CCleaner from here https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard 2.1 Run the Registry cleaner feature of the tool and do the cleaning repeatedly until zero issues are detected. (It is common for a few hundred to several thousand registry errors to have been found by the time zero errors are found. If it gets down to the last one, and, even after cleaning that one is always there on the next cleaning skip it. Some anti-virus programs cause a persistent registry error that always comes back after it is cleaned.) NOTE: with both of these products proceed carefully during the install and look for any check boxes installing extra features and programs. Make certain none of the boxes are checked. 3. Try installing OpenOffice that was downloaded from https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html again Any questions or concerns about the products in 1. and 2. just ask. If you aren't comfortable with doing the installs, don't.
