Is there a box to check that says something like “don’t remind me again” or
“use this response from now on?”

This is a warning because the code is not signed, something that is becoming
increasingly important on consumer PC operating systems. Windows 10 is raising
the bar.

Dennis:
When I click on the Open Office icon a box from User Account Control pops up on
the screen:
it asks: Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make
changes to your PC?
                     Prog. soffice.exe
                     Pub.: unknown
                     File origin: hard drive

I upgraded to Windows 10 on a machine using installed OpenOffice.

Thanks for any help.

I've never seen that.

Please provide more details.

What do you mean
"authorize" -- what exactly is the message and how does it come up?

Then,
did you upgrade to Windows 10 [Home?] on a machine that already had OpenOffice
installed?

How do I
eliminate the need to authorize soffice.exe to run every time Open Office is
used?
