However, Mozilla seems to be in the process of abandoning Thunderbird, cf, eg , www.techrepublic.com/article/mozilla-jettisons-everything-but-the-browser/. The question is whether there are any advantages to accessing one's email via an email client like Thunderbird or Microsoft Office rather than accessing it as webmail directly from the browser....
