If you cannot understand the methods outlined in it (as seems obvious from one of your earlier posts), you should do this: Right click on a .doc file, and select Open with from the popup menu. Select Microsoft Word from the applications offered. There should be a link on that window to "always open with this application" (or words to that effect. Select this. You need to repeat this process for any file type you need MS Office to open, selecting the specific component appropriate to that file type.
