Not for me (or probably anyone else!). I don't know what you are getting wrong to achieve this: I think you must be putting "=" in the cell to make a formula!
The cells within my Source were not formatted as text beforehand.
My point was that you *should* do this if you want to avoid your apostrophes being misinterpreted.
