Something I discovered quite some time ago, if you don't mind creating
your own PDF "book". If you start here:

https://wiki.openoffice.org/

Click on the left navigation item: Create Book
(this will start the book creator)

Then you can go to Documentation, and from there add sections from the
new User Guide:

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/UserGuide

When you're done, you can view your "book", download as PDF, etc.
