Hi Miles, The message tells you the problem is that the "Quickstarter" (the core service of the software) is running in the background. The installer cannot update a program that is still running. Solution: Find the "Quickstarter" icon in the taskbar system tray, right click on it and select "Exit" from the pop-up menu. If the install still fails to complete, right click on a clear space in the taskbar and select "Start Task Manager" from the pop-up menu. When the "Task Manager" window opens click the "Processes" tab. Look for and click anything with the name "soffice", then click and confirm with the "End Process" button. Hope this helps.
