Thanks Martin,

I had a number of emails with Brian. I meant ODS file, unfortunately my file is
corrupted and I did not have automatic backup on in my settings so have lost
the file.

Hello

our OTS files are not opening, each time they try and convert to an OTD file
and open in document rather than spreadsheet.

OTS files are spreadsheet templates see the wiki page
here<https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwiki.openoffice.org%2Fwiki%2FDocumentation%2FOOoAuthors_User_Manual%2FGetting_Started%2FFile_formats&data=02%7C01%7C%7C7693beac84e74f767f4508d59880cd2e%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636582601317871632&sdata=Ekr2ThpqRzvN7HjF5RShzl5aXhVI3inKMqn3YwOe%2Bvw%3D&reserved=0>
and templates are never opened but rather used to created a new
document with the properties of the template. If the template itself was used
you basically overwrite the template.

Any idea why this is happening?

The first thing come into my mind is that some user (maybe you) have given the
file the wrong extension.

regards

James
