With all due respect, I don't know if you know that the Apache
OpenOffice for Windows version is 32-bit and requires a 32-bit Java
runtime environment (JRE) to be installed for full operation of the
software.
Even when you have a Windows version 64-bit installed, you have to
install a 32-bit JRE - additionally or instead - when you already have
a 64-bit JRE installed.
