Not currently in a position to test, but what you're looking for is either going to be called Auto formatting or autocorrect
This is from memory but if you can find the autocorrect options tab they should have a list of things you can toggle on and off for auto formatting. I'm only posting so that you have some suggestion until someone was access to a computer. Can give you precise instructions on how to get there. My guess is it's either going to be under Tools autocorrect But it might be a full options tab.
