[users] Can't switch to US keyboard on X11 (stays on Greek)

For some reason I suddenly find the keyboard only producing the greek 
characters, even when my XGRK is set to English (from 
http://www.softlab.ece.ntua.gr/~sivann/xgrk/). No matter what flag 
shows (UK or Greek) the keyboard will only produce the greek 
characters. I can't even press CTRL-O to open a file, or CTRL-W or -Q 
to close the file or exit the program.

I am running OOo1.1.1 on X11 under Panther 10.3.6. I can't think of 
anything in particular which may have messed with my setup. I have 
repaired permissions, re-prebinded the system, cleaned caches (all 
using Cocktail). I am feeling frustration setting in. Right now the 
only way I can enter english characters is through copy-paste.
