I'm not sure I understand that the problem is when you say "it just stays here and does nothing".
You need to click on the link to the non-javascript page. Then, if you can either click on the link for your language (I'm assuming English, but they are all listed there) or scroll down the page and you will find the list of mirrors for the downloads for the different operating systems which you can select based on your geographical location, although all of the mirrors contain the same files.
Selecting one of those links will start the download -- it's a VERY large file (up to eight hours or more on a dial-up connection) so a download manager is recommended.
