We are using OpenOffice ver 1.0 and OpenOffice 0.2 running on a Windows 2000 server running Citrix 8.1 the users have the folder OpenOffice in their user folder.

I'm no expert but upgrading OOo sounds like your most obvious way forward - it's up to 1.1.4 now.
