[users] grid lines

I am trying to add grid lines to a spreadsheet display and  print.    Have 
tried to follow the steps outlined in HELP, but  the screens I get are not all 
in sync with the words.
I have no clue what version of OO I'm  using???    OpSys is Windows XP pro.
