Group, New (naive) Linux user with a question. I downloaded the tarball for
m69, unrolled it, and now I have 14 rpms. I know how to install an rpm but I
wasn't expecting 14 of them! It's not obvious to me how to proceed. Does the
order I install them make a difference? And I realize that I can ignore the
one for SUSE menues (so that makes 13, I'm running FC3 so I'll use the fedora
menues I guess).
I install all of them, and I do it all at once, as super-user, from the
directory that contains the RPMs:
rpm -iv openoffice*
Because I do not use SuSe, the suse-menus rpm likely installs, but my system
doesn't know how to use it and it doesn't seem to pay any attention to the fact
that this chunk is there. I suppose you could delete this one before running the
above command too.
When I uninstall the RPMs, before I update to a newer snapshot, I do them one at
a time, and do the core file last.
