[users] Em and En spaces in OOo Writer

Hi. I was wondering how I go about to insert typographical spaces such 
as Em, En and Thin spaces in OOo Writer. In MS Word they can be found 
through Insert Special Character and it's also possible to assign a 
keyboard shortcut to them which is really neat considering how much I 
use these space characters. Can it be done in OOo? If so, how?
