to find a Windows machine, open my OO .ppt file, write it back out, then send that version to my colleague
with the Mac. Does anyone know how to export to .ppt without having to go through this step?

Hi,
I want to use Open Office's Power Point-like program to create slide shows.
But who can open the files once they are created and sent on?
Do the recipients need Open Office as well.. or can they use Power Point to view them?
Thanks,

Hi,
You can save it in .ppt or export it as flash, pdf, or html. Anyone of these should be ok. Hope this helps.
