Thanks for the reply, I have gone from OOo 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, and used the same method as Brian suggested, but still the same problem!
Do what you already said you have done.
After you have set up the links and saved. Go to the sheet that needs to be updated and choose *Edit > Links*, highlight the link that needs to be updated and click update.
If this doesn't work, I would say there is a problem with the link it self.
