It is very confusing and the documentation isn't very helpful. In Word you click Font Art

With OO you type your text first, highlight it, then Fontworks is available. I wish it would
work both ways.

How do I insert a Fontwork object in a Writer document? I cannot find the command or button anywhere. The Help is quite useless.

I thought I had answered this but I guess not as it's not in my sent
folder. Anyway, the quick answer is that dealing with FontWork is
covered very well in
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/OOo1.x.x/user_guide.pdf
but not so in Help. Also 1.1.x Help is unlikely to get updated with 2.0
coming so soon.

Please use the guide. And if this doesn't help please let us know so the
guide can be updated.

Thanks, G., but the way I used to do it in 1.1.x doesn't work in 1.9.x. As noted, some functionality is broken, and the UI is totally different in 1.9.x

Tnx
Matt
