Just trying to be helpful.
i'm confused: first the original poster states that he use Yellow Dog on his laptop and then ask if he can use OpenOffice.org. well, OpenOffice is already included in Yellow Dog Linux.
after that, he states he can install Linux PPC on the laptop, but Yellow Dog (which he already told is installed) *is* Linux PPC

Can I use open office? I also can install Linux PPC on my Mac
laptop, if necessary. I do not have OSX installed and don't
plan to change from OS9. Thanks for the information.

available.
