Another one, which occured earlier even:

This same document (mentioned before) consist of about 15 MB of text and
images on nearly 400 pages in A5 size.

Lately I needed just a smaller part of it from the end. So, I removed
the leading and trailing part of it, containing all figures and saved
the "rest" as a new document. Well, then nice bug occured: when I then
opened the new "small" document, all images contained in the original
document were still in there, even though I had them removed. I checked
the size of the file and indeed it was nearly the size of the original
one. The nice thing about it is these images of course didn't have there
original anchor inside the document since I had deleted the
corresponding pages. That resulted in the bug that they all occured on
the first page (or maybe even kind of before that) by showing up one
after the other like kind of a slide show :-D. It then took me a while
to remove them one by one since they after removing one all showed up
again like when I opened it up until all run inside memory.

Unfortuneatly I can't provide the document as it is since it is
copyrighted and in the process of being completed to be printed shortly.

Any idea what I can do to help get this bug corrected?

Hi Martin,
You never mentioned which version of OOo you were using.
If it is not 1.1.4 then plkease download and try it from http://downlload.openoffice.org/1.1.4

Oooops,

you are right. I will do so, since I have 1.1.3 on SuSE 9.2 (up to date) and try again. But I will need some more time until I can do it. I'll let you know then.

Thank you
Martin
