I am not a programmer, but a "calc2qdf" macro would be very useful
to me. If not, is anyone willing to take this on as a project?
TIA. Joe :-)
What doesn't open Quick files? OOo or your program? If you can open
the in OOo the you can export to PDF from there.
OOo cannot open when Calc2qif is enhanced on Calc. Calc2qif looks for
QIF files. It does not even recognize that QDF files exist. So,
anything more recent than Quicken98 cannot be opened with Calc2qif.
Have you filed a bug with Intuit? I think this is something that Intuit
should offer, don't you? If after filing the bug against your release of
Quickbooks, you might want to try adapting calc2qif to calc2qdf since
you have the program and can deconstruct the file format. And before you
remind us, yes I remember you saying your programming skills were not so
good but this might be an opportunity to sharpen them since the macro is
in BASIC.
Calc2QIF was not designed to open
QuickBooks. It was designed to open Quicken files.
Intuit changed their data format and now Calc2quf cannot open the
files. This is not an Intuit problem, although Intuit caused the
problem by changing their data file structure. Their files can be
opened by their program.
You want me to file a bug with Intuit because a third party program was
not updated with the necessary changes??? You are dreaming if you
think Intuit is going to revert to their older data file structure.
They could not care less if third party software can read their files.
