Hi Bashar,
What exactly is referrer reporting (which was mentioned in the last announcement on the splash screen vote), is it a feature of FFox browser or is it something on the website?? How do u turn it on??
Referrer is a field in an HTTP request which contains the URL of the page that you come from (if you clicked on a link). This is something that can be used for instance to check that you read a disclaimer or that you visited a given page before accessing a document. It can also be used, if you come from a search engine, to see which keywords led people to a page.
Anyway, because it's something that can be seen as private information (which page you've visited before a given one), some browsers allow the user to disable the referrer information reporting (Firefox being one of them). I'm not sure what the default value is on Firefox, it would most likely be found in Edit/Preferences/Privacy & Security or Advanced.
Since the voting system apparently makes use of the referrer information, referrer reporting needs to be enabled for it to work.
