again a part of the never ending story of this connection :-)
I'm using 2 mysql databases (with adresses) from OOo (1.1.0, Linux Fedora Core 1) via ODBC. The first one is hosted on a mysql server 3.23 and it works correctly for a long time. Now I've created the second database (with equivalent content), but this is hosted on a mysql server 4.1.
What happens? I can connect to both databases from OOo and I can insert the adresses from both into letter templates. With the mysql3-server database I see the column names of the table in the (german) menu "Einfgen - Feldbefehl - Andere - Datenbank", but I don't see the column names with the mysql4-server database. I see (correctly) the name of the database with a leading '+', if I touch the '+' I see the tablename, again with a leading '+' - and if I now touch the '+' the plus sign disappears and nothing else happens.
What is wrong with me installation?
Best regards, Wolfgang
