Hello,
I'm a brand new user (1.1.3) and am almost happy with Writer, but I do
have this one little problem printing. (Platform is Fedora 3)
I'm able to print to the networked postscript printers (Laserjet 9000's)
using KPDF and lpr, but printing directly from OO fails.
The batch separator page prints, so OO's talking to the printer, but the
paper itself fails to print. However if I save it as a pdf file and
open that with KPDF, I can print from that app.
Now if I save the paper as a ps file, KGhostView 0.20 can display it but
fails in the same way to print. Fedora's gs won't display it at all but
I can view it with a Unix workstation's gs (3.01, yes it's 11 yrs old);
this displays the first page and then quits with the following error:
Error: /typecheck in --%xshow_continue--
Operand stack:
Execution stack:
%interp_exit --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval--
false --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false --nostringval-- --

Dictionary stack:
--dict:580/631-- --dict:0/20-- --dict:44/200--
Current allocation mode is local
Current file position is 17979
Thanks for any tips. BTW I've tried both Times & New Century Schoolbook
with like results.
