That could be a tricky answer, G.Rod

I am new to the whole linux/fedora/OOo world. I see the arabic font in my font-dropdown menu, but as usual with the switching languages, it will take TAHOMA and write it in arabic tahoma. I have the fonts on the computer, and in the OOo dropdown, but for some reason, its not showing up.

Hopefully, I am not doing something correctly, I just don't know what it is. I am pretty much used to windows and it was switch and type.

Thanks Mr. G

You have confirmed that you have the proper fonts installed?

No Pete, I highlighted the area, there is nothing there.

I have even copied and pasted from another document/email and placed it into OOo, and it just disappears.

Thanks for the thoughts, though
Raafi

Good Day Everyone

I have just recently joined the OOO forum and I do have a question, after performing a cursory search of subjects

I have a second language, arabic, enabled on my computer and Fedora Core 3, and it works well.

Except with OpenOffice word program. When I type, the cursor moves, but no letters appear when typing in arabic. In english, everything is fine. Is there a source for me to review a checklist of what I may be doing incorrectly in my setup of enabling a second language with OpenOffice?

Thanks
Raafi
