I don't know where you got your infro from but Java is not dead and
probably won't be for a very very very long time. Microsoft includes
it's own Java runtime, and sun's version is used EVERYWHERE. look at
microsoft's new language C#, its very similar to java (so similar that
it attracted a law suit from Sun).
