No it doesn't.  Try it.  

F5 brings up the navigator (there are menu commands as well).
Ctl+shift+F5 brings up the navigator *and* positions the cursor in the
'goto' page field.

This allows the user to push ctl+shift+F5, enter the page number and
<enter> - and what do you know - you goto the page you entered.....
just like the help said you would.

M$ word, from what I can see is a Ctrl+g, type in page number, then enter.

I agree that there are some very minor differences concerning
re-entering page numbers, page number highlighting, etc...  but
certainly nothing that is difficult to use, confuse users, or effect
functionality.
