If you are looking for help with using the OpenOffice.org office suite (OOo) to work with these files, this is the mailing list you need. OOo will open most excel files. (Password protected ones are the exception until version 2.0 appears later in the spring.) OOo is able to work with Access files through the use of database drivers.
