And you checked with md5sum? There are instruction on using and getting
md5sum.exe on the download page. Many factors can affect a download and
OOo provides the md5sums as a check that your system did not corrupt the
file.

While it is possible that the mirror you selected has a bad copy other
mirrors do not as I confirmed by downloading from one of the Canadian
mirrors and running md5sum against the downloaded file. Thus I am
inclined to believe that the software you used to download or your
system has software such as a virus scanner that caused the corruption.

Further I recommend that you disable any virus scanner, spy software et
cetera before doing any download including OOo.
