I remember a comment about lines in text. But for the sake of me, I
am unable to remember it. I usually write things down, but not that
one.
I am pasting together a document, I put in about 4 underscores to
mark a spot for insertion. WOW it turned into a line, a long line,
a line that will not go!
Please how do I rid myself on the line. I found in HELP how to
INSERT a line but nothing about deleting a line.
Chris
Place the cursor at the paragraph marker immediately preceding the
line and selct Format > Default. The line should disappear. --

Well, I tried such as soon as I read your answer.
I turned on the unprintable characters, had all the para signs plus showing, put the
cursor at the preceding para, clicked Format>Default the para went smaller the
font size was changed. Then my feeble lonesome mind said, that is not the correct
para sign, you need to find the correct sign--- so I went to the next preceding, same
thing. I walked up the document about half a page, then the line disappeared.
Went back and corrected the font size.
Thank you
Is that the only way to delete the line? The line can be a handy tool, but after it
needs to be deleted.
Chris
THat is how I fix things after the fact. If you notice immediately, use
Ctrl+Z to remove the offending line.
as hinted by Doug, the way to remove it is with
Format->paragraph->Borders (Tab), click on no-border icon, OK.
