Sure. When inserting the TOC, on the 'entries' tab have a look at 'structure and formatting' line where you define what you want to appear. Click on the 'T' (which is for the tab character) and there will be an additional drop down box named "fill character" appear. You can change this to nothing which will mean that the dots will disappear.
Remember if you want this for all levels within the TOC, also click "ALL" once you have made the changes (so that all levels are updated).
