What error are you getting? It's worked for me for all versions since OOo1.1.0. (Redhat 8.0 and FC2) I just ran it again in Debian Sarge and it works for both OOo1.1.3 and OOo1.9.77. I do get a popup asking if I want macros to run, so if you've already disabled macros, that would prevent it from working.
