Frankly, I object strongly to wasting the bandwidth as such discussions are not really the purpose of this list. People generally come here to learn how to use OOo, and encouraging off topic debates can kill a list faster than any other action.


What's wrong with starting your own list on, say, Yahoo Groups , and announcing here - one time- that it is available? That way you get your discussion, you don't waste the time of people who don't care to have to wade through and filter such drivel, and everyone is happy.

It sounds as if you are looking for an M$O clone. Why not just save yourself a lot of grief and time and go buy a copy of that? Or, you could learn how to use the features in OOo and realize that 99% of what you think is important in M$O is not really necessary to be productive.
