If you want to design "a" database with a GUI like MS-Access. Afterall MS-Access is pretty much a stand-alone program compared with Word etc. The only reason (I think) to use the MS-Access interface instead of the "proper" tools is the familiar interface for Word,Excell user. But if you want to use more, you have to endulge yourself in VBA. Pick the right tool for the job, be it an 18 wheeler. They nowadays can be driven just as easy as a small car. > To my knowledge there are database front-ends like Rekall but I have not > seen or experimented with it/them. I have. Very good.Just like MS-Access. The programming language is Python(or Perl? mixing up things). But look at knoda (Gerd(?) Knorr) as well (definit using python as prog lang). Both Perl and Python are very good languages to do prorgamming. Better as Basic anyway to do string handling > > [snip] > Ger
