I to get the same problem. If you open the thesaurus without selecting a
word it will open fine. Select a word and it will crash.

I am wondering if others can reproduce this and if it is a known issue.
When I try to invoke the Thesaurus either through the menu or by
keyboard shortcut, OOo 1.9.79m crashes. Does it every single time.
I cannot reproduce this behaviour on my system under 1.9m79. I think the
problem may be local to you. Have you tried Repair?
