In Writer, when I type "PO/Job #" I get "P�Job #". Something similar happens when I type "RTL/LTR" (the slash becomes a bar across the first L, but I can't send the character via e-mail). How can I turn off this overzealous behavior?
Hint: It isn't an obvious autotext option, and I've looked through Tools/Options without finding a cure.
See if it's in the AutoReplace table (Tools > AutoCorrect/AutoFormat... > Replace tab). If you can find entries for O/ and L/, you should be able to just delete them from the table.
