is it possible to do with openoffice using the styles ?
I have seen a few different methods..... In my free macro document, I
use a table. I place text in the left column and the information in
the right. I could just as easily add an icon rather than text. The
icon is NOT added auto-matically, you still must add it.
Although an appropriate style should perhaps be used for the note, or
what ever, the icon is usually added directly into the text and then
attached to a paragraph or as a character to achieve an appropriate
spacing. Personally, I like placing them in a table and then simply
hiding the borders as appropriate.
Let me add this note: After you do the above, and insert the icon, and
add some placeholder text, select it all and add it as an autotext
entry. When you type the autotext shortcut and invoke it, the table,
icon, and placeholder text will be inserted at the cursor. Big
timesaver if you've got a lot of this to do.
