Word completion is simply picking up words from the help file (based on minimum word length setting) in case you need these if your typing. If you don't this functionality, then this can be turned off. I personally think its pretty smart and helpful - but its an individual thing.
Select tools > auto correct > word completion and uncheck "collect words"...
