I need my application to 1) open a CSV file, 2) generate a chart from it, 3) display the chart within a fixed dimension GUI frame at a fixed location on the screen, 4) do this without the user viewing or manipulating the spreadsheet or chart.
The application is C++, the GUI is Motif, and the OS is Solaris 8. I've been evaluating the SDK, but I can't tell if steps 3 and 4 are possible. I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.

3. You ask about many things here, but yes. The location question and size was recently asked on the dev list (or was it the oooforum???); I recommend taht you search the list.
4. Not certain what you mean by "viewing", but you can automate the entire process I believe.
