Hi Max,
It looks like there's some voodoo going on with email addresses. Here's what I found: If an address becomes unlinked, you can restore the link by selecting the cell, left click the edit bar, then right click the edit bar, then select a different cell. Most of the time this restores the link. It may also depend on how you tilt your head as you're clicking.

hi ain

that's weird. and after you click in the cell to edit it, this
happens: if you click at the end of the link in a cell and move
towards the beginning of the text with the 'left' arrow key on the
keyboard, the link will become inactive, but ONLY the portion of it
you have scrolled through with the arrow key.

for instance:
1. repeat the 3 steps below (by Ain).
2. click in the cell AFTER the link text
3. press left arrow key on your keyboard 3 times
4. click into another cell.
RESULT: let's say the link was '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. after you do
the 4 steps above, there will only be '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' marked as
link, the rest ('org') will be text (no grey background).

try also pressing the left arrow key 6 times. this will result in
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]' remaining as link and the rest ('ce.org') will be
text.

i hope i'm making myself clear. :)

You are making yourself very clear to me, as that is PRECISLE my
experience when I was able to edit the address - whichever bit I edited
would no longer be clickable.
