When will the ability to keep a certain arrangement of toolbars be available in OOo? It's frustrating to have to make the toolbars I use all the time visible each time I start OOo.

Okay, I realize I didn't say so explicitly, but I am very experienced with OOO and the use of templates. I would not have asked if I hadn't tried that route. It doesn't work.

I create a blank document, set the page margins to 1.0 inch all around, then set View->Toolbars->Drawing and View->Toolbars->Insert, and put the Insert toolbar on the left side of my frame window. Then I save the blank document as a template File->Templates->Save..., and give it the name Default Text. Then I do File->Templates->Organize..., and find that template, right-click it, Set as Default Template, then close everything. When I reopen Writer, I get the blank document with 1.0 inch margins, but not the toolbars I want displayed.

NOW, tell me, please, how do I get them to stay visible from one invocation of OOo to the next?

TIA,
Matt Needles
