I'm using Openoffice and I can't seem to convert files to PDF format.
I tried the StarOffice program for a trial period and found I could
do it with that program. Can you help me?
It is exactly in the same place.
You are probably using a very old version of openoffice, before pdf export was avaliable (in version 1.1 if I recall correctly).
I'm currnently downloading the 2.0 beta to see if the conversion is on there.
You will find it in the stable 1.1.4 release. The beta is very nice, but it's just a beta, so expect it to be unstable.
If you go along downloading the beta, please report any problem that you find.
